The Israeli military intensified its air and artillery bombardment of central and northern Gaza from Wednesday evening through Thursday morning, striking four homes, a tent sheltering displaced people, and a gathering of residents. The attacks killed four Palestinians and wounded over 10 others, a source at Al-Shifa Medical Complex told Al Manassa.
The escalation coincided with Israeli military vehicles advancing into Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, under the cover of heavy artillery fire and gunfire. The forces then moved the “Yellow Line,” a buffer demarcation line imposed by the Israeli military inside Gaza, to Salah Al-Din Street, which links northern and central Gaza, two witnesses told Al Manassa.
Central Gaza saw a new wave of displacement on Wednesday evening after the Israeli military issued evacuation orders for four homes in separate areas over about 90 minutes, then bombed the buildings.
Separately, a source told Al Manassa that the Israeli military called the owner of a wedding hall in Al-Maghazi refugee camp while the venue was hosting a wedding, and ordered that the surrounding be area evacuated, forcing the ceremony to be canceled and the entire area cleared.
“People started running away from the area that was evacuated. Less than half an hour later, the army hit a house next to the wedding hall with a missile fired by a warplane, which caused extensive destruction,” the source said. Two Palestinians were wounded by shrapnel as they tried to flee and were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, where a source described their injuries as minor.
At around the same time, the source said, an Israeli intelligence officer told the owner of a supermarket south of Deir Al-Balah to evacuate the area around the store within 20 minutes. An apartment in a nearby building was then hit by artillery fire.
Residents of a home west of Al-Nuseirat refugee camp received a similar evacuation call before a missile strike completely destroyed three adjoining homes and left their residents displaced. One Palestinian was wounded by shrapnel more than 400 meters from the site of the attack, according to a source who spoke to Al Manassa.
The source said that the Israeli military made a fourth call to a displaced person in Al-Bureij refugee camp, ordering the area around a home to be evacuated. About 16 minutes later, it bombed the house, destroying the targeted home and leaving five others fully or partially destroyed, meaning that more than 12 families lost their homes.
In Gaza City, Israeli military vehicles continued advancing through Al-Zaytoun after midnight and into the early morning, amid heavy artillery fire, gunfire, and the bulldozing of roads and buildings. Dozens of displaced people fled their tents on foot toward safer areas, according to two witnesses who spoke to Al Manassa.
One witness said Israeli forces placed concrete blocks marking the “Yellow Line” along part of Salah al-Din Street, bringing the area under military control. “The area has become territory controlled by the army. If people stay where they are, they could be bombed or shot at at any moment. People are being forced to flee again,” he said.
During the incursion, Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance crews transported the body of a young man who had been shot in the area. A source at the ambulance service told Al Manassa that the victim, a neighborhood resident, was struck by a bullet and collapsed in the street before dying.
Witnesses said several families tried to return Thursday morning to retrieve some of their belongings from the evacuated area, only to be forced to flee again after realizing that it had come under Israeli military control.
In eastern Gaza City, two young men were killed when a reconnaissance drone struck a gathering of residents in Al-Tuffah neighborhood. Palestinian Red Crescent crews transported their bodies to Al-Shifa Medical Complex.
Another strike hit a tent sheltering displaced people near Gaza’s port, west of the city, killing a young man and wounding three others, including a girl, according to an eyewitness who spoke to Al Manassa.
Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement it signed with Hamas in October 2025, which was intended to end the war.
Figures published by Gaza’s Ministry of Health show the number of people killed and wounded in the continuing assault rising daily. Since the ceasefire, 1,127 people have been killed and more than 3,600 wounded, bringing the overall toll since the assault began in October 2023 to 73,250 killed and 173,751 wounded.
